![]() Georgetown Football: 2008 Recruit Profiles
The Dallas Morning News called WR Dishon Hughes a "hidden gem" for his ability to contribute in each phase of the game. It's a trait that could serve Hughes well as a contributor at Georgetown. "Hughes is versatile," writes the paper. "He's primarily a receiver and special teams player but also has been a quarterback, running back, and even a safety last week for a couple of plays. He has three rushing touchdowns, three touchdown receptions and 10 tackles." For the season, as the third option for the Mustangs, Hughes caught 50 passes for 679 yards and five touchdowns. Hughes received limited interest from Baylor, Oklahoma State, SMU, and Rice before selecting Georgetown in January. "He has a great character and work ethic," said his coach, Randy Robertson. "He'll do whatever you ask him to do."
