Walsh Building (1958)

Heading east a block from the main campus lies the quadrangle known as "East Campus", which once housed the schools of Foreign Service, Languages & Linguistics, and Business. The largest of these buildings was the Walsh Building, named for the founder of the School of Foreign Service and dedicated by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1958.

After the SFS moved to the Intercultural Center in 1982, the Walsh Building hosted Fine Arts classrooms and an auditorium known as the Hall of Nations. The auditorium fell into disrepair in the 1980's before being reborn as a performing arts theater. With the move of the Fine Arts department to the new Davis Center, another new era awaits this building.
