6. Average Home Attendance, 2002-03

This category measures the average home attendance for each team during the 2002-03 season. As a result of the single year presented and some teams playing in smaller arenas, this category receives a lesser weighting in the overall totals than the items featured on the front page (see the methodology for full details).

Georgetown's average of 8,796 was 6th place among Big East schools in this survey and 8th overall in this survey.

7. National TV Appearances, 2003-04

Another limited measure of conference ranking is the number of national TV appearances scheduled to be made in the 2003-04 regular season. This list includes games broadcast on CBS, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and Fox, but does not count games shown on ESPN Full Court or the Big East syndicated package.

Georgetown fell precipitously in this category. Once the top-ranked Big East school for national appearances, the Hoyas received  only four this season. The four games ranks Georgetown in 7th place among Big East schools (and 10th overall in this survey) in this category.

8. Top 100 Recruits, 1998-03

Another subjective category. Based on the top 100 combined indices by RSCI for the years 1998-99 through 2002-03,  we compiled a list of the number of Top 100 recruits (as defined by those sources) per school. NOTE: This list source is for high school players only and does not account for junior college talent.

Georgetown continues to do well in this category, though many of its recruits are in the lower end of the top 100. The Hoyas are 3rd among Big East schools (and 4th overall in this survey).

Here is a ranking of former players by school on an NBA roster at the beginning of the 2003-04 season. By virtue of its past success, Georgetown remains at the top of this category.
